Ukraine trade deficit down 5.7 percent in 2013


(MENAFN) The trade deficit in the Ukraine decreased by 5.7 percent to reach USD8.47billion last year, Xinhua reported



The State Statistics Service said that the country"s exports fell 7.6 percent in the year from 2012 to USD76.1 billion



Imports decreased 7.4 percent to USD84.6 billion in the year, as purchases of minerals, electronics and vehicles were lower



Ukraine's major trading partner remained to be Russia with a two-way trade volume of USD38.2 billion
