Saudi nonoil exports up 9 percent in Dec.


(MENAFN) Nonoil exports in Saudi Arabia increased 9.2 percent in December hitting USD5.9 billion versus the same period a year ago, Arab News reported



A report released by the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) shows that imports during the month fell 6.5 percent to USD13.1 billion



Chemical products" export comprised 32.33 percent of the total nonoil exports at a total value of USD1.7 billion. Plastic products also made 32.33 percent of the total exports



Imports of machines and electric equipment came highest in value during the month with USD3.37 billion, accounting for 25.72 percent of the total imports
