(MENAFN -Arab News) Moe-AFM claimed Team of the Week honors on a night that saw a major shakeup in the team standings after the sixth session in the Qatar Airways-AFTBL 48th Open Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.
Moe was far and away the best of the pack to shoot the top tally of 41 points.
As well as taking the team award Moe led those that moved up in the ranking as it leapt three places to second behind new leader Sky Freight Forwarders who in turn knocked Taurus-RDLR at the top after compiling 30 points. Taurus, which bagged the Best Uniform award, failed to prevent its slide on 20.5 points.
MC Hammer was a distant second to Moe on 35 points to switch places with Habagat which dropped to seventh after compiling 9 points for the session.
Faris Trading returned 31 points while Idol tied Sky Freight on 30 with Jem-FTBJ and Bank Al-Jazira on 23.5 and 21 points respectively.
Jeddah 500 collected 17 points while Lipton Chai Latte brought up the rear on 6 points.
Paolo Allego was named Bowler of the Week after he shot the high series of 679 on lines of 236, 246 and 185.
The trio of Abdul Obie Ycasas, Nonie Yap and Mao Orolfo took charge at Moe hitting three-game series of 619, 614 and 603.
Wilson Triguero added valuable two-game contribution of 226-230 that added up to the 192 by Abdul Mugawan, as Moe tasted its first victory in the five-man team Saturday league event sponsored by Qatar Airways.
Hammer used a single set of five players for its total with Richard Junio at the helm on 627 followed by Melvin Lising 618, Jhun Estefano 612, Zaldy Bacero and Rene Punzalan 574.
Faris Trading, led by Allego, also kept faith in its five players with Igna Salgado backing up Paolo on 598. Frank Afurong had 523, Hero Garcia 567 and Gerry Mananas 523.
Bonnie Garcia and James Galvan were the main men at Sky Freight on 585 and 582. Rene Santiago had 567 Rod Morales 563 and Goying Salazar and Cris Villavelez shared the three games on 244-203 and 200 respectively.
Idol had Tom Langa and Jimmy Mandingiado showing the way on 652 and 602 to go with the 598 by Bash Lnaga, 535 by Fred Cuenca 162-174 by Sol Cuenca and 196 by Jess Pineda.
For Jem-FTBJ the notable scorers were Rally Zamora 579, Rey Beltran 566, Efren San Pedro 556 and Ladio Gonzales 555.
Randy Mata and Atoi Cruz were the leading scorers at Bank Al-Jazira on 652 and 640.
