(MENAFN -Arab News) Elite Team A of Bong Cruz kept winning as it defeated MSIS (Millennium International School) 101-83 in the third week of the 1st Inter-Schools Parent Bonafide Basketball tournament 2014 at Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers rubberized basketball court here.

MSIS boys anchored by guard Wally Talens, big man Dennis Almario, Rick Grefiel, Rowie Azucena and Lino Fernandez controlled the first quarter 27-20.

As the second quarter started, Danny Bugayong hit a three-pointer to trigger the start of an aggressive Elite offense that also featured sallies by Roel Langit, Michael Ebo, Ayan Dibaratum, Farid Badawi and play maker Michael Atraje, who finished with 25 points. The period ended quarter 53-47 for Elite and from there the team never looked back en route to victory that improved its record to 3-1.

Elite Team B-1 coached by Jerome Bautista was not as successful as it suffered its third loss at the hands of ADIS (Al Danah International) 91-79 captained by Ronald Alfonso.

With Alfonso at ADIS were Zernan Salampong, Jhay Canteros, Henry Tan, Tonny Labsan, playing coach Nelson Lagutin, Daniel Mojica, Alain Talusig and Lawrence Balingit. ADIS steadily pulled away from a 15-14 first quarter lead to pick up its third straight victory.

Saturday, IPSR (International Philippine School) of Raffy Sula beat MSIS (Millennium School International) of Yuri Viguilla in overtime 93-84.

Regulation period ended 78-all but IPSR poured it on in the extra five-minute period to pull out the win.
