Oman's RCC net profit up 12.6 percent in 2013


(MENAFN) Oman's largest cement producer, Raysut Cement Company (RCC), announced that its net profit last year soared 12.6 percent, Times of Oman reported



The company said that its net profit hit USD71.5 million in the year, noting that the increase was due to improved demand for cement from the construction sector



Al Maha Financial Services said: "On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the net profit of the company stood at OMR8.68 million (USD22.4m) for the last quarter of 2013 as against OMR4.52 million (USD11.7m) reported for the same period of the previous year, recording an increase of 92 per cent.



Muscat Securities Market (MSM) posted on its website that the firm's revenue increased 0.5 percent from USD240.3 million to USD241.6 million
