Toyota recalls 1.9 m Prius hybrid cars


(MENAFN) Toyota is recalling 1.9 million of its Prius hybrid cars as it discovered a fault in its software that may cause a sudden slow down of the vehicle, according to Qatar News Agency



The company has already received about 400 reports about the problem, especially in Japan and North America. However, no injuries have been reported



The Prius was first released in 1997 and is one of the most popular hybrid vehicles on the market.



Toyota said: "In limited cases, the hybrid system might shut down and the vehicle will stop, perhaps while being driven.
