KSA retail sector posts positive returns

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's retail sector is expected to continue posting positive returns with strong prospects for expansion in the medium-to-longer term, Arab News reported

Oxford Business Group (OBG) said in a report: "The sector, which saw sales expand by around 11 percent in 2013, would increasingly be dominated by large-scale developments such as hypermarkets with shopping centers spreading beyond the major cities.

The retail sector in the Gulf nation could be affected by the decision to cut the number of expatriates in the work force and it is expected to have an "ongoing effect on the sector for at least part of this year"

Major international retail brands are planning to increase their presence in Saudi Arabia
