Unemployment in Australia up 0.1 percent in Jan.


(MENAFN) Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Australia went up by 0.1 percentage points to reach 6.0 percent last month, Xinhua reported



The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said that the number of employed people came at 11,459,500 after it dropped 3700 in January



Full time employment during the month plunged by 7,100 people down to 7,953,000 while part-time employment was up 3,400 to 3,506,500



The ABS reported that the number of unemployed people in Australia went up by 16,600 to 728,600
