(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) At least two NATO soldiers were killed following a suspected insider attack in eastern Afghanistan, Afghan News Agency (Khaama) reported.
This was the first insider attack which has taken place in Afghanistan since the beginning of the year 201
NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) following a statement confirmed the incident and said, "Two International Security Assistance Force service members died when two individuals wearing Afghan National Security Forces' uniforms shot them in eastern Afghanistan today." The statement did not disclose further information regarding the exact location of the incident and nationalities of the deceased soldier
ISAF in its statement said, Afghan and ISAF officials are assessing the incident to determine the facts and as more information becomes available, it will be released as appropriate."
