China to Continue Syrian Shipment Support


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) A spokeswoman for China's Foreign Ministry said that the country will continue to work with parties concerned to ensure "safe and smooth" transport of chemical weapons material out of Syria. Hua Chunying made the remarks at a daily press briefing when commenting on the completion of the third shipment of Syria's chemical weapons material, China News Agency (Xinhua) reported. "Chinese frigate Yancheng worked with naval vessels from Russia and other countries to complete the escort," said Hua, adding that Yancheng is awaiting the next escort task. China welcomes the continuous efforts from all parties concerned, and would like to enhance coordination and communication so as to ensure the safe and smooth transport of chemical weapons, according to the spokeswoman.
