Japanese core machinery orders drop 15.7 percent
(MENAFN) Core private sector machinery orders dropped in Japan by a seasonally adjusted 15.7 percent in December, Xinhua reported
The Japanese government said that core private-sector machinery orders dropped to USD7.54 billion in the month
Orders from the manufacturing sectors fell to USD2.86 billion, dropping 17.3 percent, while those for the non-manufacturing sectors dropped 17.2 percent to USD4.45 billion
Demand for Japanese machinery from overseas increased 8.6 percent to around USD8.2 billion
