Egypt to invest USD4.8b to strengthen economy


(MENAFN) The Egyptian government announced that that it will invest USD4.87 billion in a bed to boost struggling economy, Saudi Gazette reported



The country's Finance Minister said that most of the finance came in aid from the UAE during the second half of 2013



Gulf nations have supported Egypt with around USD11 billion in second half since former Egyptian president was removed



The country's budget deficit came at USD12.8 billion, while foreign currency reserves declined to USD17.1 billion dollars in January this year
