(MENAFN) Asia Pacific region is expected to buy 12,820 more airplanes valued at USD1.9 Trillion from US aircraft maker Boeing, according to Qatar News Agency
Boeing's sales are expected to grow by 36 percent over the following twenty years on the back of economic and passenger growth
Boeing Commercial Airplanes Marketing Vice-President Randy Tinseth said, "Asia Pacific economies and passenger traffic continue to exhibit strong growth."
Tinseth added: "Over the next 20 years, nearly half of the world's air traffic growth will be driven by travel to, from or within the region. The Asia Pacific fleet will nearly triple, from 5,090 airplanes in 2012 to 14,750 airplanes in 2032, to support the increased demand."
