(MENAFN - Saudi Press Agency) A South Korean official says the two Koreas have agreed to hold a senior-level meeting at a border village on Wednesday, AP reported.
South Korean Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Eui-do said Tuesday there is no fixed agenda, but he expects the rivals will discuss planned reunions this month of families divided since the Korean War.
North Korea has recently threatened to cancel the reunions because of upcoming U.S.-South Korean military drills. Outside analysts say it's unlikely it will scrap them because it needs improved ties with Seoul to help attract foreign investment and aid.
The family reunions haven't been held in three years. North Korea canceled planned reunions at the last minute in September.
