Saudi Arabia to invest USD10b in aquaculture sector


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia and Oman are leading investment in the Middle East aquaculture industry, Saudi Gazette reported



The increasing regional fish consumption provides investors with a big opportunity to make use of the fastest growing food processing sector in the Middle East



The Saudi Ministry of Agriculture is planning to invest USD10.6 billion into the sector to produce one million tons of fish in the following 16 years



Oman is also planning to inject USD1.3 billion into the aquaculture sector to help develop fisheries by the end of the decade
