(MENAFN) Overseas production by South Korea's carmakers registered a high record last January, with expectations of further growth in the future, according to Qatar News Agency
Overseas production by Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp. was 378,867 units in January, registering a 4.3 percent rise from the same period in 2013.
A market watcher said: "Both carmakers have been stepping up efforts to build production lines closer to buyers and make products specifically tailored to individual markets that have contributed to growth.
