Philippine Bourse Roadshow to Woo Japanese Investors


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) will conduct this week a roadshow in Japan in a bid to attract more foreign investors to its bourse, the Philippine News Agency (PNA) reports.



The PSE, together with DBP Daiwa, will host a Philippine Corporate Day at Daiwa's corporate headquarters in Tokyo on February 13 and 1



The event aims to showcase the prospects of the Philippine stock market and to share the growth story of select listed firm



PSE President and Chief Executive Officer Hans Sicat said, "We have seen more interest from Japanese funds to include Philippine companies in their equity portfolio after the country was given investment grade status." Sicat said such a roadshow in Tokyo will give prospective investors a preview of what the Philippine stock market has to offer and "it will give them a sense of how committed we are to the developing of our capital markets." This is the second year that the PSE and DBP Daiwa partnered to host a roadshow in Japan, PNA said
