Dubai Is Set To Host WGES on April 15


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Dubai is set to host the World Green Economy Summit ( WGES), on April 15th,2014.



Held under the theme "Global Partnerships for Sustainable Future", the two-day summit will bring together prominent experts from energy, finance and business sectors, in addition to government leaders, international organisations and the private secto



The summit aims to promote capacity building and highlight effective policies, legislation and new opportunities for leading businesses supporting the transition to a green economy Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the World Green Economy Summit and MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, highlighted the fact that the private sector plays a remarkable role in the transition into a green econom



He stressed in press remarks relayed by the Emirate WAM news agency on Sunday, the significance of forums which explore and build up new opportunities between thinkers and decision makers in both private and public sector

The summit will be held in conjunction with the next session of Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition, WETEX 2014. Al Tayer invited the leaders and pioneers of the green economy in India to participate in the summit which will provide real and sustainable solutions emphasising the importance of collaboration with partners having the expertise and a record of achievement to enhance the private sector contributions in the summit agend



Al Tayer had earlier told pressmen that the WGES 2014 will feature a number of partners along its strategic partnership with Dubai Green Economy Partnership and UNDP, including the International Renewable Energy Agency - IRENA, in addition to including numerous prominent international figures as keynote speakers at the even
