(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Daleel Petroleum recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to sponsor the third edition of Oman's Sharikati programme, aimed at empowering young Omanis and equip them with skills to be successful entrepreneurs.

As per the MoU, Daleel Petroleum will sponsor the Injaz Sharikati participants from the Higher College of Technology (HCT) and will provide experienced and qualified members of its personnel to train and educate the students till the final competition of the programme where winners will be announced at the end of the program. Fahmy al Musharfi, CPO, Daleel Petroleum Development, said human resource development is the backbone of any successful company.

''Undoubtedly human resources are the cornerstone of development. Taking care of them by developing their skills and abilities is key to a bright and prosperous future. Thus, Daleel Petroleum is keen to support a number of educational and training programs one of them being Injaz Sharikati programme'' he said.

During the programme, the students will establish their own companies with actual financial and administrative structures and Daleel Petroleum employees will use interactive educational methods with the students to teach them on how they should start their businesses and allocatethe necessary requirements and manage them. While appreciating Daleel Petroleum efforts,

Shiekh Shabib al Mamari, CEO of Injaz Oman, said Sharkati programme comes in line with the sultanate's efforts to develop the SMEs sector and instill the entrepreneurship culture in the society. ''Daleel Petroleum is considered one of the pioneering companies in the sultanate for its outstanding community services, which reflects the desire of the management to position the company among the leading organisations that support the local communities.

Having new sponsor companies for Injaz Sharikati will help increasing the capacity of the program to register more students who want to explore and enter the SMEs sector with their own projects,'' he said. Daleel Petroleum is keen on establishing continuous partnership with the community to contribute to the development of the country in accordance with the directives of government under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, which look at the private sector as an important player in the development process. Out of its belief in the importance of contributing to the development of education and training, Daleel Petroleum made many efforts in this regard and dedicated a special budget to implement and manage the related projects.
