Oman- Body of expatriate to be repatriated soon as officials get information on his hometown

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The Indian expatriate, Konchadi Voovaya Shekar, who died at The Royal Hospital on February 1 has been found to be a native of Mumbai.

His body will be repatriated soon, according to the Indian Embassy.

Shekar, who had been working in Oman, died due to kidney failure and cardiac arrest. His body could not be repatriated sooner because there was no information about his hometown or the location of his relatives. No one had come to claim the body (as reported by Muscat Daily on February 6).

Roshan Raturi, who had come to Shekar's aid and taken him to the hospital, has been entrusted with the documentation and medical process before the body is sent home, the embassy said.
