(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Indian Social Club Muscat is all set to conduct the drama competition of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy (KSNA).

The competition will be inaugurated by the chairman of Indian Social Club Muscat, Dr Satish Nambiar, on February 10, 8pm, at Indian Social Club Multipurpose hall. KSNA conducts such competitions within Kerala every year and this is the first time Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy has provided opportunities to the expatriate Keralites in the Gulf in exhibiting their talents by participating in the drama competitions organised.

The event is supported by Oman UAE Exchange. The duration of each drama has been limited to a maximum period of two hours each and the first drama will be staged on the same date at the ISC multipurpose hall at 8pm. The event will commence on February 10. The competitions will be judged by specially-assigned judges nominated by Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, who will be flown to Muscat soon.

The dramas staged in Muscat, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar will be evaluated by these judges and awards will be announced by KSNA. The winners will be honoured at a specially organized function of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy in Kerala. KSNA will award the following prizes based on the result of the overall evaluations of the dramas staged in the above four Gulf countries: Best presentation, best script, best direction, best actor and best actress.

The dramas are organised under the guidance of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy and its chairman Soorya Krishnamoorthy who requested Indian Social Club Muscat to conduct the drama competition in Oman. ISC has thanked the Ministry of National Heritage and Ministry of Social Development for their continuous support.
