Kalashnikov plans factory in India


(MENAFN) Kalashnikov Concern is reported to be soon opening a factory in India to manufacture weapons, Xinhua reported



Chief executive of the weapon manufacturer said: "India is a very promising market, and the best way to enter it is to set up production there. We will begin to set up production this year.



He added that the factory will be an assembly line at the first stage with plans to increase production to 50,000 items a year



It is worth mentioning that Mikhail Kalashnikov, the creator of the iconic AK-47 assault rifle, passed away on December 23, 2013 at the age of 94
