US economy weaker than expected in January


(MENAFN) The US economy registered a weaker than expected growth for the second month in a row in January, according to Iran Daily



Economists expected the US Labor Department would report an increase of about 180,000 new jobs compared to the actual 113,000 jobs



Unemployment rate in the states dropped 6.6 percent, its lowest since October 2008



The jobless figures will raise concerns that the US economic recovery is beginning to lose steam
