Iran to increase economic growth in 2014

(MENAFN) Iran said it plans to boost economic growth to hit 3 percent by March 2015, according to Iran Daily

Iran should attract more foreign investments and make better use of available monetary resources to help improve the country's economy, said Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, vice president for planning and strategic supervision

He said the government plans to invest USD12.6 billion in development projects, of which USD6 billion pertain to national and provincial projects

Nobakht added: "We will not stop the implementation of projects that have progressed by up to 20 percent. However, we do not allocate funds to these projects. We will secure funds for the implementation of projects with a physical progress of between 20 percent and 80 percent.
