(MENAFN-Khaleej Times) In its first meeting of 2014, the Naturalisation, Residence and Ports Affairs Higher Committee at the Ministry of Interior raised the subject of unifying procedures and examined ways to overcome obstacles that may impede work processes
The meeting was chaired by Major-General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Resources and Support Services, at his office. The directors-general of Residence and Foreigners Affairs in the country, and a number of officers from the sector attended the meeting.
During the meeting, attendees saw a presentation highlighting the sector’s future projects. They also reviewed recommendations issued by the coordination committee and appropriate decisions were taken accordingly.
Attendees also reviewed and examined the comments filed by the Special Higher Command Committee, and agreed on the proper mechanism to address them. They also discussed a number of topics and proposals on the agenda aimed at improving performance of the sector.
