Kuwait- Iraqi youth attempts to infiltrate into country


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A team of securitymen from the Operations Admi-nistration at the General Criminal Investigations Department foiled the attempt by an Arab truck driver to smuggle around 300,000 Tramadol pills into the country. In a recent press statement, the administration revealed they received information about the driver smuggling narcotic substances by using a truck for transporting food products from his country to Kuwait. It took the security officers 12 days to put the area, where the truck is expected to arrive, under surveillance that was arranged after receiving detailed information about the truck and the suspect to ensure he will not run away. When the truck arrived, the officers inspected it thoroughly; resulting in the discovery of the contraband. During interrogation, the truck driver disclosed he is working for another person who was arrested in an entrapment. Both suspects and confiscated items were referred to the concerned authorities for the necessary legal measures.



Iraqi arrested: Border securitymen foiled an attempt by one Iraqi youth in his late 20s to infiltrate into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. It seems that the Iraqi was spotted by thermal camera, and the officers pursued and arrested him.



GCC national held: Officers at the Salmi border exit apprehended a GCC national who tried to leave the country using his brother's passport, reports Al-Rai daily. Officers discovered the GCC national was also wanted by law for criminal offenses and referred him to the Criminal Investigation Department
