Two Earthquakes Hit Southern Iran


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Two earthquakes measuring 4 and 4.3 on the Richter scale shook the vicinity of Kavar in Iran's southern province of Fars early on Thursday.



The first quake was epicentered in an area located at 29.22 degrees latitude and 52.78 degrees longitude and the other at 22.24 degrees latitude and 52.79 degrees longitude, (IRNA) news agency reported citing the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University There is no report on any damage caused by the earthquake



Earlier Wednesday a tremor measuring 3.7 on Richter scale jolted Anbarabad in Iran's mid-south province of Kerma



The tremor's epicenter was at 28.38 degrees latitude and 57.50 degrees longitude and in depth of 35 kilometers underground, (IRNA) news agency reported citing a report of the seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institut



Another earthquake measuring 3.5 on Richter scale shook Bayroum area in Fars Province on Wednesday
