India And Namibia Bilateral Trade Up 259% In 2013


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) India's bilateral trade with Namibia has grown 259% for the year ended 2013 compared to the figure registered in 2013, India's federal Minister for Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma has said.



The total trade between India and Namibia in 2013 was US$ 233.62 million up from US$ 65.03 Million in 2012, India's official Press Information Bureau (PIB) report said Thursda



India has offered to provide Buyer's Credit of US$ 100 Million to Namibia for taking up infrastructure project



Minister Sharma made this offer during his two-day visit to Namibia from February 4, 201



During his visit, Sharma called on Namibia President Hifikepunye Pohamba and Prime Minister Dr. Hage Geingobof Namibi



He also had bilateral meetings with Minister of Trade and Industry Carl H.G. Schlettwein, Foreign Minister Ms. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, and Minister of Information and Communication Technology Joel Kaapanda. India conveyed to Namibia its commitment to be a close partner for achieving the goals of the development agenda being pursued by Namibia, PIB added.
