(MENAFN) Online retail sales in Australia continued growing in December last year on the back of strong sales during Christmas time sales, Xinhua reported
A survey by the National Australia Bank (NAB) shows that sales during the month included electronic games, toys, groceries and liquor
The NAB Online Retail Sales Index edged up to 240 points in the month, up from 237 points in November
The survey also revealed that online sales increased 1.58 percent in the month, while online retail spending expanded 12.6 percent
Australians spent USD13.1 billion on online retail during 2013, which equals 6.5 percent of spending on traditional retail
