(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), recently received a delegation from the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), as part of continued collaboration, coordination, sharing expertise and existing partnerships between Dewa and the different government departments in Dubai.
The DTCM delegation was headed by Helal Saeed Al Marri, director general, accompanied by Hamad bin Migrin, CEO of the business tourism division and Ahmed Khalifa Al Qezzi Al Flassi, CEO of corporate and supporting services. Present from Dewa were Hussein Lootah, EVP of the power transmission division and Yousef Jebril, EVP of the power and water planning division.The meeting focused on different aspects of collaboration between Dewa and DTCM.
During the meeting DTCM presented its strategy till 2021 and the different tracks that aim to promote Dubai as a global preferred destination for tourism, business and marketing, especially as Dubai will organise the upcoming Expo 2020 and all its relevant activities and events, which will strengthen Dubai's global position.
After the meeting, Al Tayer stated that the DTCM's strategy is integrated and aims primarily to promote tourism and business of the Emirate of Dubai through varied tracks and methods and that this was the aim, which Dewa is also seeking to achieve with the purpose of promoting Dubai's global position as a hub for finance, business, tourism and green economy.
