The Sharjah Police have arrested eight Afghanistan nationals, who allegedly robbed bank customers immediately after they made a withdrawal from ATMs and banks. Some of these suspects had been deported earlier from the country, but came back illegally
The Sharjah Police received complaints from bank customers, who said they were attacked by robbers just after making cash withdrawals. A police officer said the modus operandi of all the robberies was similar
A police team arrested two suspects after investigating the complaints. These two men had come to the country on a visit visa and stayed on after its expiry. They were also found to be holding expired temporary passports
During the interrogation they said they planned to return to their home country after robbing the maximum number of customers
