Oman- MoM says it will stop services to firms not hiring nationals

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Manpower (MoM) has announced in a statement that it will not render services to private sector organisations not hiring Omani nationals, and has set deadlines spread over the coming months.


Among the steps MoM may take against establishments not complying with the Omanisation policy is not renewing visas for their expatriate employees.


The date of implementation of this decision will begin from March 1 for companies categorised as ‘excellence', ‘international' or ‘consultancies'.


The deadline for Class I establishments is April 1, while that for Class II firms is May 1. Those categorised as Class III and IV have been given a June 1 deadline, the statement said.
