IDF Oman expo showcases products from 15 countries


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A three-day exhibition on interior design and furniture began on Monday under the auspices of  H E Sheikh Saad bin Mohammed bin Said al Mardhouf al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs, at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.


The Interior Design, Décor and Furniture (IDF) Oman exhibition is being organised by Al Nimr Expo under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.


More than 80 companies – including 55 from 15 countries – are showcasing products ranging from chandeliers, beds, home and garden décor, table lamps and study tables. The exhibition also has accessories, art, bathroom fittings, kitchen equipment, lightings, lifestyle products, textiles and carpets, and a special section on commercial interiors, retail fit-outs, outdoor design and building and renovation.


Mohamed Maskati, president of Naqsh Gallery, a Bahraini-based boutique art gallery said, ''IDF is a perfect opportunity for us to introduce Naqsh Gallery in Oman and promote Bahraini arts and crafts.''


Salim Omar al Hashmi, CEO, Al Nimr Expo said, ''IDF Oman is dedicated to interior designers. In a dynamic market, the exhibition will help manufacturers and suppliers to tap potential buyers. Participants will be able to generate new business opportunities''


A special highlight of IDF Oman is the Italian pavilion managed by Medinit featuring more than 25 top Italian interior design companies.
