Over 5 drop in vehicle registrations in Oman NCSI

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Vehicles registered until the end of December 2013 decreased by over five per cent compared to the same period in 2012, according to a bulletin released by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

It stated that the drop is due to the fall in the number of private vehicles registered, and fewer vehicles being purchased by the government in 2013. The total number of vehicles registered in 2013 stood at 131,700 as compared to 139,589 in 2012.

The number of vehicles registered by the government witnessed a drop of 38.6 per cent in 2013, with 2,348 vehicles registered against 3,823 in 2012.
