McDonald's UAE to add 15 outlets


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The planned expansion will see McDonald's UAE invest in the recruitment and training of its workforce, which is expected to increase by 19 per cent this year. McDonald's growth strategy reflects the continued growth of the UAE population, and its commitment to enhancing the access and availability of its restaurants for customers



"The planned expansion of our geographic presence is consistent with the investments we made in the market last year and demonstrate our continued commitment to investing in both our restaurants and our staff," said Rafic Fakih, managing director and partner of McDonald's UAE. "In the summer last year, we launched the McDonald's Delivery System to bring our products directly to our customers and we are planning to further expand its geographical coverage in 2014 to other emirates.



In 2013, McDonald's UAE invested approximately Dh32 million to expand its portfolio of restaurants in the UAE by opening 11 new stores and renovating five stores. The 11 restaurants, located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, comprised of stores in malls and drive-throughs giving McDonald's UAE the opportunity to serve more customers across the Emirates. The additional new restaurants bring McDonald's UAE's current portfolio to 119 stores across the UAE



McDonald's UAE also enhance its commitment and contribution to the local community in 2013 by partnering with the renowned UAE charity Beit Al Khair through for a Ramadan book campaign which helped raise funds to educate orphans. Operating since 1994, McDonald's UAE today has 119 restaurants geographically located to service customers in many areas
