(MENAFN) The UAE national airline Etihad Airways said it may take a stake in struggling Italian carrier Alitalia, according to Arab News
The airways has announced its suggestion during a meeting held by a high-level Italian delegation led by the Italian Premier Enrico Letta and Abu Dhabi crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
The two parties aim to strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries
During the meeting, they focused on "joint cooperation in areas of economy, trade and investment.
