Iraq oil exports lower in Jan.

(MENAFN) Iraq's crude oil exports dropped last month to an average of 2.228 million barrels per day (bpd), but is expected to increase next month, The Peninsula Qatar reported

The amount exported declined from 2.341 million bpd in December to 2.228 million bpd in January. Of the total exports, 2.036 million bpd came from Basra, while 192,000 bpd came from Kirkuk

The Iraqi Oil Minister said that the drop in exports last month was the result of attacks on a pipeline that pumps oil from northern Kirkuk to Turkey
