S. Korea exports drop 0.2 percent in Jan.


(MENAFN) South Korea's exports in January declined due to holidays in the country resulting in fewer working days, Xinhua reported



The country's exports, accounting for nearly 50 percent of the economy, dropped 0.2 percent from the same month a year ago hitting USD45.58 billion



South Korea's imports also fell, reaching USD44.85 billion, dropping 0.9 percent from a year earlier. The country's trade surplus in the month came at USD735 million
