A joint statement by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) said that the PMI continued to drop from December and logged the lowest manufacturing activity in 5 months
An analyst with the Development Research Center of the State Council said that the factory activity is still expanding despite the slowdown and that "in general, the country's economy is still expecting stable growth.
