120 exhibitors set for Gulf Industry Fair

(MENAFN-Arab News) Bahrain Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa opens Gulf Industry Fair (GIF) 2014 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) on Tuesday

Organized by Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE), the flagship B2B exhibition for the Northern Gulf’s industrial sector is upsizing in 2014. Total occupied floor space is 3,381.5 square meters this year compared to 3,200 square meters in 2013

Meanwhile, a total of nearly 120 exhibitors will attend, from large industrial and economic powerhouses to the vibrant downstream ecosystem of product and service providers representing the aluminum, steel and alloys, industrial processes and manufacturing, energy and environmental protection, ports, logistics and free trade zones, training for industry, industrial safety and security and marine and deep sea services segments

It promises to be the ultimate showcase of the latest products and services either on or coming onto the market, according to the organizers

Of the participants, a 42 percent are returning after exhibiting in 2013, a barometer of the show’s value proposition.

On the other hand, new local, regional and international exhibitors will inject an additional energy to the BIECC show floor, where ambition and innovation will be buzzwords against a backdrop of billions of dollars of game changing industrial investments in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are already making significant nonoil contributions to national economies

Reflecting the growing regional industrial diversity, a series of sector-specific zones will bring together large organizations, purchasers and suppliers in close proximity at GIF, in a captive networking environment.
