Honda's Net Profit Doubles in Fourth Quarter of 2013


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The net profit of Honda Motor Co.'s more than doubled for the fourth quarter in 2013 year-on-year. The profit the motor giant made was $1.57 billion.



The company said in a statement today that the profit was a result of the depreciation of the yen as well as high domestic and the US sales. The company's sales rose by 24.5% year-on-year. While operating profits increased by 73.2% during the same period.



Global sales increased by 9.7% year-on-year, selling 1.08 million vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2013. As a result, Honda's shares closed down 0.26% on Friday
