Kuwait- Fake Visas Scam


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Personnel from the General Immigration Department have arrested an unidentified employee working at the Mubarak Al-Kabir Immigration Department for forging visit visas, reports Al-Qabas daily. During interrogation the suspect gave the names of five Egyptian representatives of different companies because they are accomplices in the scheme



Their arrest also sent into retirement a Sheikh - the head of the department. Astatement issued by the Ministry of Interior said the suspects extended visit visas to three months for persons working on government projects without approval from the respective sponsors. The investigations are continuing to arrest the main culprits



Meanwhile, a former Kuwaiti football player who was reportedly involved in a visa scam is said to have been released on bail, reports Annahar daily. The daily added the investigations in the case are still ongoing in which some 'high' officials from the concerned ministry are involved. Earlier reports said the company owned by the football player had received approval to hire 1,900 laborers and had received necessary documents from the General Immigration Departmen
