Kuwait - Army Staffer Steals, Sells 50 Luxury Cars


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Farwaniya police have arrested a military man working for the Ministry of Defence for stealing and selling more than 50 luxury cars, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after police received several complaints from the buyers of these vehicles after they discovered the vehicles they had bought from a Kuwaiti youth were reported stolen. Police investigations led to the arrest of the suspect who was picked from in front of his home in Firdous. The daily added, at first the 'thief' denied the charges but later admitted to stealing the cars. Police then raided the man's home and found 45 car registration documents and the number plates of stolen cars. Police have also seized some of the stolen cars which the thief was in the process of selling



Man cheats disabled brother: Police are looking for an unidentified Kuwaiti man who is believed to be abroad for betrayal of trust and cheating on his physically disabled brother, reports Al-Rai daily. A complaint in this regard has been filed by the victim's Arab wife at a local police station. In her complaint the wife said her husband was injured in a traffic accident and is suffering from permanent disability. The complainant added her husband is a retiree and received KD 30,000 in service indemnities and also following the accident an insurance company paid him KD 110,000. Since he was unable to carry out the procedures himself, he gave the power of attorney to his brother who collected and pocketed the money. Police investigations show the man is out of the country
