(MENAFN-Khaleej Times) Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, chaired the meeting of the Crisis and Disasters Team, which was established in 2006 as per the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
The meeting was also attended by Ahmed bin Humaidan, Deputy Director-General of the Dubai Ruler’s Ruler Court, a number of directors of Dubai Police departments and several senior police officials. In the meeting, future plans for the strategies of the team were discussed.
The Crisis and Disaster Team was established as per decree number 22 of 2006 and it comprised of 13 articles. The team was to be chaired by the Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police. According to Article 5, the team would formulate plans that would be implemented in crisis situations in the Emirate of Dubai.
