(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) The Ministry of Interior's Traffic Department has prohibited the parking of mechanical and heavy vehicles in Doha City.

The ban, effective from today,Thursday, includes lorries, machineries, equipment vehicles, tractors, mechanical vehicles, trailers and trailer engines in Doha City, the Traffic Department said. The ban is also effective in Doha City's suburbs Lusail, Gharrafa, Wajba, Muaither, Rayyan, Airport, Hilal and Musaimeer

The parking of vehicles for loading and unloading goods is exempted from this ban, the Traffic Department said

The Traffic Department has disseminated the awareness information on the ban on parking heavy vehicles in five different languages - Arabic, English, Malayalam, Urdu and Hindi.
