American Airlines posts USD2b loss in Q4


(MENAFN) American Airlines posted a net loss of USD2 billion in the last quarter of 2013, Xinhua reported



The huge loss was the result of USD2.4 billion in net special charges, mostly due to its bankruptcy reorganization and its merger with U.S. Airways



The company's net profit for the full year came at USD1.9 billion, excluding net special charges. The figure is USD1.5 billion over results in 2012
