BBK Bahrain awards employees


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) BBK, Bahrain's pioneer in retail and commercial banking, held its monthly "day of appreciation" to announce the gold and silver monthly award winners as par of its employee Recognition Programme for the month of December 2013 at its headquarters in Manama.



The programme, which recognises and rewards all BBK employees, is aligned with the bank's philosophy that a motivated and engaged workforce translates into a superior banking experience for its customers



Each month, different categories of awards are granted to deserving employees for their extraordinary achievement towards the bank's performance and productivity based on a predetermined criteria approved by the top management



Bapco completes surveillance audit



The 4th ISO 14001 surveillance audit was successfully carried out at the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco). The three-day audit was conducted by two auditors from Bureau Veritas (BV)



The six monthly surveillance audits have been carried out by BV since 2009 when Bapco was first awarded the ISO14001 certification



The purpose of the surveillance audit was to verify the continued implementation and adherence to all the requirements specified within the ISO 14001:2004 standard



Stage set for Gulf Industry Fair 2014



The opening ceremony of the Gulf Industry Fair (GIF) 2014 will take place on February 4 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).



Organised by Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE), the much-anticipated, flagship exhibition is expanding this year as it acquires total occupied floor space 3,381.5 square metres, compared with 3,200 square metres in 2013



Meanwhile, nearly 120 exhibitors, from large industrial and economic powerhouses and service providers representing the aluminium, steel and alloys, industrial processes and manufacturing, energy and environmental protection segments, will attend the show. It promises to be the ultimate showcase of the latest products and services coming into the market



Of the participants, 42 per cent are those who have already participated last year whereas new local, regional and international exhibitors will inject an additional energy to the BIECC show



Alba CEO visits Asia customer



Aluminium Bahrain (Alba)'s chief executive officer ((CEO), Tim Murray, recently visited customers in Asia as part of Alba's drive to improve customer satisfaction as well as expand its customer base across the region



Murray met Alba's customers, trade partners as well as employees in the company's local offices to discuss the key role played by them in the growth of the company. The visit also served the purpose of meeting with potential customers for Alba
