4 Omanis killed in Saudi road accident

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Four Omanis, including three women, were killed and eight others injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia early on Tuesday.

The victims, from Rustaq, were on their way to Mecca for Umrah when the bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in Ar Ruwaida on the Riyadh road.

According to a senior ROP official, ''The injured included four men and three women, all Omanis. The other injured was an Ethiopian housemaid. It is not yet known how the collision happened. The wounded have sustained moderate to critical injuries.''

This is the second road accident involving Omanis in Saudi Arabia within the last ten days. On January 22, five members of an Omani family were killed and one person injured in Al Hofuf, Saudi Arabia. The family too was on a pilgrimage. The incident happened when the 4WD they were travelling in crashed into another car.
