(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The President of the Qatar Athletics Federation and Chairman of the Diamond League Doha 2014, Dahlan Al Hamad opened the first General Assembly and preparatory meeting of the Diamond League Doha 2014.
He said: "The Diamond League represents 14 meets starting in Doha and ending in Bruxelles. Diamond League is not organised by IAAF. IAAF is a partner of the Diamond League.
"Each meet is evaluated by the Diamond League Committee. Last year we were good compared to the 2012 edition. Our ambition is to become excellent, if we all work hard." The second Diamond League 2014 preparatory meeting is scheduled for February 25
