First Back2Business Oman receives positive response


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The inaugural Back2Business Oman, the largest business networking event designed to develop new business relationships, attracted over 450 guests at Grand Hyatt Muscat last week.


The sold-out event, organised in collaboration with Bank of Beirut, brought together business owners, experts, entrepreneurs and thought-leaders based in Oman as well as abroad.


Back2Business Oman was organised with the joint effort of representatives of some of the business councils in Oman, namely the British Business Forum, the Oman American Business Council (OABC), the European Business Persons Group and the Australian Business Group.


Maggie Jeans, Back2Business Oman organising committee member and the coordinator of the British Business Forum, said, ''The event was really a great success and exceeded our expectations in terms of turnout. There are a large number of business groups in Oman. The event provided opportunities to the people of different business groups to network with each other.


''It was a great idea for business networking and it will become an annual event in Oman. We expect more and more business groups to be involved in the future, and this annual event will further benefit members of all groups in Oman.''


Maurizio Monte, another member of the Back2Business Oman organising committee, said, ''We were extremely pleased with the turnout and subsequent connections made between representatives who attended this event. It was exciting to see the beautifully decorated venue buzzing with professionals, all eager and willing to identify opportunities, and we are proud to have provided the ideal platform.''


Back2Business Oman garnered support from many leading brands and organisations, including Bank of Beirut, Port of Sohar, Swiss Air, the Grand Hyatt Muscat, Mazoon Printing, BusinessToday, DHL, Arab House, Europcar and Bright Lights.


 


During the event Ramy Zambarakji, managing director of Bank of Beirut, Oman, said, ''Back2Business provided an excellent opportunity for Bank of Beirut to present to existing and prospective clients our services in Oman, as well as to strengthen its current position as a key cash management player.


''We were proud to be part of an event that brought together so many dynamic business professionals from a vast range of industry backgrounds and organisations.''


Galina Prokhina, corporate coordinator, OABC and member of Back2Business Oman organising committee, said, ''I received a very positive feedback from OABC members on Back2Business Oman. In fact, members are asking for it to be organised twice a year. It was the first event in Oman that brought all major business groups together.''
